Hormone Optimization for Men

Boost Energy, Stamina, and Vitality

Testosterone levels start to decrease, and estrogen levels increase in men as early as their late 20’s but most significantly in their 40’s and 50’s. This change in hormone levels, known as andropause, is increasingly common as men age, with symptoms ranging from low sex drive, loss of muscle mass, depression, irritability, brain fog, lack of focus, and increased body fat. By taking advantage of our comprehensive health screening, you can determine whether your symptoms are attributable to a change in hormone levels, and our medical team can set out your personalized treatment plan to reach your goals and regain your vitality.

What are the signs and symptoms of low testosterone in men?
Low levels of testosterone in men are much more than just low sex drive or sexual dysfunction.

Symptoms consistent with low testosterone are:

  • Low sex drive
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Increased body fat (especially in the waist area)
  • Decreased bone density
  • Mood changes
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Sleep disturbances

How do I Find Out What My Testosterone Levels Are?

When you visit Epoch Vitality Centers for your comprehensive health screening, two of the nine tests we collect will be your Total and Free Testosterone. Total Testosterone is the amount of Testosterone your body naturally produces, and Free Testosterone is the amount of “working Testosterone”, or the amount of Testosterone your body actually uses. By having both of these numbers it allows our Physicians to thoroughly evaluate your hormonal health. If you have medical abnormalities in these numbers, our Physicians will work with you to develop a plan to help you get your life back to a healthy and functional state.

In addition to Testosterone, our men’s health screening also measures other hormonal levels: TSH (thyroid) and Estradiol (estrogen). Testosterone can convert to estrogen in a man’s body, and this conversion can get out of control and lead to numerous health issues, including sleep disturbance, prostate issues, osteoporosis, emotional imbalances, and mental health concerns. Epoch Vitality Centers uses routine blood testing to evaluate Thyroid functions, Estradiol and Testosterone levels, as well as using state-of-the-art body analyzers to constantly monitor therapies for patient safety and total health progression.

Testosterone Shots

Testosterone is a natural steroidal hormone found in both men and women. It handles the development of muscle mass and bone density. In men, it is the driving force in sperm production and helps the regulation of libido. Testosterone is also responsible for fat distribution and metabolism.

Pellet Therapy

Hormone Pellets & Pellet Therapy are the most natural option and considered one of the most effective ways to deliver bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy in the form of pellets is intended to replace the deficient hormones in your body.

hCG Injections

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is pro-hormone that encourages the production of other hormones in the body. hCG is used in men to increase or restore testosterone production.  In men undergoing hormone replacement therapy, their testes may stop producing testosterone, so hCG can remind their testes to keep producing testosterone.
